Elemis Product Review

June 10, 2013

I was kindly sent these products out from Elemis to review, I had always heard of the brand but had never really tried any of their products and I am really impressed, so much that I feel the word should be spread more to teenagers. These products are all from the fresh skin range aimed at teens to twenties. I also think the pricing is affordable with the moisturiser being the most expensive at £20, exfoliator at £12 and lip balm at £8. For the quality of the product I am definitely impressed by the price and the results as a whole. The packaging is minimal, simple and clean, I also love the pop of bright purple to give the product a refreshing feel. I love the pump of the moisturiser as that way you can really get all of the product out.

Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser
I will start off with the moisturiser, they are usually something I like to experiment with until I find one I really like and will keep using, in this case it is Elemis. The moisturiser is really light and fresh and leaves no residue on the skin which I love as I really dislike when moisturisers have a greasy feel. It has a variety of ingredients such as seaweed extract, rosehip seed oil and almond oil to really give you that hydration boost. I would use this after cleansing my face and act as if I was giving myself a mini face massage by spreading the moisturiser evenly but sparingly at the same time. I love the scent of the moisturiser and the calming sensation of it. I have noticed a difference in my skin texture, it is much more softer now and just the overall texture has improved, especially on my cheeks.

Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash
Moving onto the face wash, I love a good facial exfoliator as it really improves the texture of my skin instantly and makes me feel refreshed. Having it within a face wash cuts down the time I spend on my skincare routine and the cost which is why I love this product even more. This product contains cherry powder and jojoba beads to gently polish and refine the texture of your skin and includes a variety of other ingredients to leave your skin refreshed, brighter and softer. I apply this to my skin before cleansing by squirting a 2 pence sized amount into my hands and rubbing it into my skin in a fast circular motion, I would use this maybe 3 times a week and another cleanser during the week as too much exfoliation can be bad for your skin. Overall I'm really impressed with this product and will definately be purchasing it as it's only £12!

Quenching Lip Balm
Lastly, the lip balm. I'm not much of a lipbalm girl, I may carry a vaseline in my bag and that's it. It has a slight scent of peppermint which I'm not a huge fan of but apart from that personal preference it really does what it says. I have noticed my lips so much more conditioned and softer and now I carry it in my bag as a nessecity, who knew a product could addict you! It's GREAT for the summer when the sun is out and you need a bit of a boost on your lips as the sun can dry them out, it's so conditioning and smooth to apply. For £8 you can't go wrong for a keepsake lipbalm in the summer, even on holiday this product would be perfect, I know I will be taking it to Egypt with me!

Overall, I am really happy with these products and I am officially Elemis' biggest fan. Their product range 'fresh skin' is suited perfect for me and at a reasonable price I definately recommend giving them a go as they're aren't too expensive and worth effectively.
