Millenium Mayfair Hotel Event

Not too long ago I was invited to a evening event at The Millennium Mayfair Hotel for a lovely tour and cheeky cocktail session. I decided to vlog the whole thing so you guys can actually see how the hotel looks like, which is amazing I must say! Once we arrived we were kindly provided by a glass of champagne and then we had to find our tags the tables. I was sitting with my friend who I came with, Sharon and two lovely girls I met Ashanti and Jaclyn. After we had a good old chat we then had a mini competition on to draw the best cow we can, right there all my Art skills went out the window. The trick behind it was the way you drew your cow meant something for example depending on how big you drew the cows ears meant how much of a good listener you were, how interesting!

We were then taken on a lovely tour by Asem who also told us so many interested things about the hotel. It was originally known as the Brittania Hotel and opened in 1969, it was then purchased by Millennium in 1996 and rebranded in 2000. It is located on the lovely Grosvenor Square which overlooks a variety of different embassy's so you are very safe! There are a total of 336 rooms in the entire hotel with them all being the same layout except one. All guest rooms include: flat screen TVs with Satellite channels,
wifi internet access, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, iron,
direct dial telephone and climate control.

I could go on forever talking about how lovely the hotel is but you really have to see it yourself. It can be on the pricier side for students like me but the rooms are breath taking! If I had the money to go there I definately would. They also have restaurants in which I would love to visit as they have had many celebrity appearances. The Millennium Mayfair Hotel is such a lovely hotel with lovely staff and I would dream of staying there. What do you guys think of the hotel?

Once Musical

This isn't my usual post but if you know me I'm very passionate about music and once I heard about the musical 'Once' I had to let everybody know about it! It's all about when an Irish busker and a young Czech girl meet through a shared passion of music and their songwriting sparks a deep connection and romance that neither of them expected. Once is a winner of 8 Tony Awards in 2012 including 'Best New Musical'. It's a sort of old fashioned love story that has a bit of twist. All the songs included in the musical are from the original film including the amazing song 'Falling Slowly'. This musical doesn't come around often, I know I can't wait to see it, if you're into this sort of thing then I would definately give it a watch!

This is such a me kind of musical and the last 'musical'/theatre production I went to was Lion King a good few years ago. Musicals like this really interest me as anything with a bit of live music makes me tear up. Plus I do love a good old Irish accent. I think the fact that you can see how passionate the actors are in their music and instruments really inspire me and captivate me into watching this. Liz Earle Botanical Essence No. 15 Eau De Parfum

I don't know about you guys but as Autumn/Winter is still around I seem to be searching for which perfume I currently want to wear  as I usually wear fruit fragrences. I love to try a variety of different brands and smells.  I was kindly sent this eau de parfum by Liz Earle a while back and hadn't got round to reviewing it. Recently I had been getting bored of my current perfume so I decided to dig around and come across this beauty! Just the bottle alone feels and looks expensive and classic. It is described as a cashmere wrap in a bottle which I think is pretty accurate. Despite this being an eau du parfum the smell is still quite strong and a little can go a long way. If you prefer a more warm oriental scent then this one is perfect for you. It definately has a more mature and sophisticated feel to it but don't worry, I don't mean an old lady like smell. I can imagine this being a perfect gift for a boss, mum, aunt etc... Especially with the packaging and how it feels very luxurious.

"Fresh spicy oriental notes of pink pepper, cinnamon and bergamot create a spiciness
that is beautifully sexy and skin like. A hint of captivating damask rose and sandalwood
envelop you in a rich, feminine sensuality while the almond and caramel-like qualities of tonka bean
and bourbon vanilla cocoon you in a softness and warmth like cashmere on the skin.
Beautiful amber combined with cedarwood creates a clean, fresh undertone."

Overall, I would say this product is perfect as a special gift, it has a slightly different smell to it and feels very sophisticated. I always find it hard to explain perfumes and scents but I would definately suit this one to more of the Autumn/Winter time, if you're living in London this means it's still perfectly suited to the current weather. I think if you're on the look out definately give this one a try as it's won me over.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Event

I was kindly invited to the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Event which I was super excited about. It was all to do with celebrating their 3 Minute Miracle products which I think are amazing and their best product by far. I went with the amazing Laura and had a lovely glass of champagne once we entered the Sanderson Hotel. After a bit of chat and champagne we went into the official event room where we were surrounded by five different station. This is when I met the beautiful Lina who joined our team called ColourMake. The aim of the event was that each station took 3 minutes, you had to go around in your teams and complete the station in 3 minutes and you would then get a score. The first station was to do a smokey eye look which Lina perfected, the next was to make a Passionfruit Mojito which was my area and I must say we made an amazing cocktail. The next was this super hard updo which we didn't do too bad at, the next was to create this delicious salad. I say delicious despite not trying it but it definately smelt delicious. The last station was to create a smoothie and we were thinking logically about what to put in and came up with an amazing smoothie!

So Laura, Lina and me had completed all of the station and they were about to announce the winner. Team Colourmake were the winners! We won a £50 Selfridge voucher which I'm so excited to spend and I'm so proud of my team. So the event shortly came to an end and we headed to the bar to finish off the evening. I met Olivia who I found out only lives a road away from me, how crazy?! We shared a cab home and had a good little chat with me realising I had left my phone with Laura, silly me. Overall, it was an amazing night, I met so many lovely people and really enjoyed myself!

Warehouse Photoshoot - Postcards in Shoreditch

When I was contacted asking if I wanted to take a part in Warehouse's Photo shoot I first hesitated as I'm not used to being in front of the camera but I decided to push myself and go for it! I'm so glad I did because not only did I get to meet the AMAZING Rhian from Warehouse who done some amazing dancing for me to smile at while being shot but I also had an amazing experience and will definitely push myself for things like this again.

So the day before I met Rhian and we went to Warehouse together and picked out some clothes, I picked this monochrome dress as I love black and white and the fit and shape of it was very flattering, I don't have a dress like this at all and it's my go to formal dress. As it was a day shoot Rhian helped me pick out this green military jacket which gave the outfit a casual look and tied in really well with the dress. To match the casual look I added a beige studded bag and a neon necklace to give it some colour. I love the outfit, I would definitely wear it over and over again, I'm particularly in love with the jacket as you can wear it to any occasion as demonstrated in these pictures.

The day of the shoot I made my way to Rhian along with her assistant and the loveliest photographer I've met ! They made me feel so at ease despite being so late as I had never experience such awful rush hour! I had a great time all thanks to Rhian and Warehouse! One of the best experiences from my blog ever! What do you guys think of the look?

Check out the coverage on their Facebook here!
