As some of you will know I am a teacher and sadly my Summer holidays are coming to an end. I've recently really found my love for blogging again, especially Instagram wise and plan to continue with that for as long as I can juggle with work!

I'm also starting a brand new job this time round which I'm super excited about. I started to lose my passion for teaching and decided it was time for a change.

I'm shortly going to be heading to New York with my boyfriend and I cannot wait! We are going to do the basic attractions, shop and try out all the typical New York food places. We will also be celebrating our birthday out there at a nice restaurant as our birthday is only a week apart Usually we would get an airbnb somewhere but it makes sense to do it in New York as it's only a few weeks later!

Apart from that, life is good! Like really good! I'm hoping to move out with my boyfriend or at least seriously start looking next year. I got a new job with a promotion. So far, everything is bliss.

I never used to be a soppy, romantic type who would openly admit how in love I am and post lots of love quotes but since meeting my boyfriend things have certainly changed! I have always loved surprising people and being thoughtful which then turned into my romantic side coming out. I would choose a homemade meal with candles and flowers over eating at a fancy restaurant. I would choose a cabin in the woods over a 5* hotel. I would choose a handwritten card over buying gifts and luckily enough I have a boyfriend who is also good at surprises, thoughtful and romantic and makes me feel so lucky. It also helps with saving money and keeping things exciting in the relationship which is why I think we have got stronger over the year we've been together. Here are my top 5 date nights that I would recommend doing with your partner!

1. (Stolen from my bf) Buy their favourite snacks, grab a card and write something person to them and set this up as a surprise in another room. Chuck some fairy lights over or candles to add some warm lighting and romance!

2. Grab a blanket and basket and go for a little picnic. We have done this often in different locations and has been really fun! You could make it fun by turning it into a little challenge - both grab 3 items each that you think the other person will like!

3. Turn your bedroom into a cinema by putting the mattress on the floor with lots of pillows and blankets. Adding my favourite touch - candles and fairy lights and don't forget the popcorn!

4. Have a pamper night in. I don't care what guys tell you but they definitely love a face mask so grab a mask, cream, nail file whatever you can talk your partner into and relax together. This is also a great time to treat each other to a nice massage to properly unwind.

5. Surprises! No matter how little or big it is I think it's the most important thing to keep a relationship alive. Nobody wants to be with someone and begin to get bored. A nice, simple surprise I did in the past was when my bf had a long day at work so I picked him up from the station. When he was in the car I told him to look in the drawer and there were his favourite chocolates! It could even be trying something new like an escape room or a new restaurant together!

My birthday is coming up in just over a month and I am a huuuuge birthday lover which is why during this period of the year more than ever I like to treat myself a little more than usual. It might be trying out some new beauty products or going for a bold piece of clothing I wouldn't usually wear to simply treating myself to a nice cosy night in with my favourite snacks, drinks and films. Therefore, it's inspired me to do a new feature for the next few weeks and hey, if it goes well maybe even longer.

'Feel Good Friday' will be a range of different posts of what makes me currently feel good. Next week is a cheeky collaboration with IT Cosmetics showing off some new products that make me feel my best when putting my face on and hopefully inspires you guys to try something new or invest back into that luxury makeup piece you once had that made you feel glam.

I know if my friends read this they will completely agree when I say that I enjoy a good night out with a bottle of wine but surprisingly I'm getting a little tired of it. I mean, the hangover, the cost, it can just get a bit repetitive over time which is why I decided to organise a Girls Night In with some of my favourite girls! We went all out with making our own cocktails, face masks, painting nails and of course, talking about boys over snacks. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who felt so refreshed after this night in letting things out and just enjoying some catch up time.

We began the evening with of course making some cocktails which were kindly sponsored by Echo Falls, my favourite wine brand ever! We mixed with the Chardonnay as the White Zinfandel is just too good on its own! We then actually made a little video which I will upload shortly, it's definitely one to check out! Next, we popped on these cooling, tingling face masks and moisturised our skin with some of the fruity body creams you can see above - these are all from Superdrug and so affordable while of course smelling like a dream! Lastly, we finished the pampering with waiting our nails with the Essie Summer Range and popped on some sot Dove hand cream. The whole night was a dream and we were super comfortable in our Next goodies which they kindly supplied, we all had our own set of loungewear and then the most gorgeous slippers which you can see in the top photograph #girlboss.

I had such a lovely night with my girls and I would take this over clubbing every week!
